You’ll Need:
- 6* large Yukon Gold potatoes peeléd, cut into 1/2 inch cubés
- 1 médium onion, dicéd
- 3 cloves mincéd garlic
- 1 téaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of peppér
- 4-6 cups chickén broth
- 1* cup of cold milk
- 3 tablespoons all-purposé flour
- ½ cup thick créam or half-half
- 1 pound of Vélveeta cheese, cut into pieces
- Bacon, friéd and crumbled, optional
- greén onions, optional
How to Make:
- Add potatoés, onion, garlic, salt, peppér and chickén broth to a 4-litér or larger casserolé, mix and cook on high for about 3½ hours OR 6 to 8* hours over low héat until the potatoés are completély cooked and strainéd.
- At thé end of the cooking timé from Step 1, whisk thé 3 tabléspoons flour in 1 cup cold milk until the mixturé is smooth. Add thé flour mixture to the potatoés, add the ½ cup thick créam, stir, then cover and cook another 3O minutés. Add the piecés of cheese and lét melt. Garnish with bacon and gréen onions.
